UBA Executive Management engages staff in a town hall meeting which climaxed with a staff bonding session
On Saturday 23rd July 2022, the Executive Management and Staff of UBA Sierra Leone met for a town hall meeting at D-Bim D-Bam Multipurpose Hall at Wellington Street Freetown.
The purpose of the session was to create a space for staff to bond outside the working environment and for management to engage staff to know their pain points and areas of improvement. The session was very interactive as it has helped to build confidence amongst staff to express their concerns to management on the following areas: workspace, tools, staff promotion, bonus sharing and other areas of concern to management
In attendance were the Executive Director (ED) Mohamed Samoura, Executive Management Committee Members (EMC Members) core staff and outsourced.
The Country Head of Human Capital Management (HCM) made a lengthy and detailed presentation on various staff benefits and concerns such as medical, appraisal, bonus sharing etc. Staff were then given the opportunity to ask questions, expressed their grievances, appreciations, and concerns.
This session was anchored by the ED professionally and empathetically. Most of the issues discussed were about appraisal and career development, bonus sharing, medical, manning constraints, terminal benefit etc. These issues were adequately responded to by the ED and HCM.
