– Prepare audit requirements for the Unit/department to be audited
– Prepare checklist/audit programs on the audit areas to be handled
-Do off-site review of documents, information and schedules/accounts received from the audit clients
-Participate in entrance meeting with the audit clients for better understanding of their operations and other issues needing clarifications
-Participate in audit field work at audit client’s Business Office /department
-Draw up audit exceptions for audit client’s response following the review of their transactions for a period
-Follow up on the audit client for responses to audit exceptions
-Receive responses from audit client and review for reasonableness, insert auditor’s comments/recommendations and collate for publication
-Participate in exit meeting with audit client to clear any grey areas and agree on the issues raised and timelines for resolution
-Compute audit rating for the particular department/unit and collate for publication
-Prepare executive summary on the audit exception report
-Carry out periodic spot checks and security sweeps of units and departments
– Carry out periodic investigation of EMC action points, whistle-blown issues and other issues based on management prerogatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
– First Degree ( or equivalent ) in Accounting, Banking & Finance or related discipline.
-Masters and /or Professional qualification in accounting e.g. ACA, ACCA, NBAA.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years cognate experience
