On the 1st April 2022, UBA Sierra Leone opened another new branch office at Waterloo in its relentless effort to make banking access to more people in Sierra Leone. The branch office which is sits prominently along the Waterloo-Tombo highway, will serve residents across the city’s outskirt with value and efficiency.
According to the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Usman Isiaka, UBA Sierra Leone is inspired to take banking to the footsteps of UBA customers who are drawn from all many parts of the country.
“This development is part of our core strategies to help stimulate and sustain resilience of the Sierra Leonean economy with an enhanced savings culture for and loan facilities offered to residents in Sierra Leone” he said.
Adding the new Waterloo branch now totals to 10 UBA branch offices alongside various cash points across Sierra Leone geared towards improving customer service experience and convenience of the bank’s existing and prospective customers.

In one of the applauds given to the bank in its financial inclusion drive during the UBA Adonkia branch Opening in July 2021, the Deputy Bank Governor, Sheik Alhaji Yayah Sesay is quoted as saying, “This step by UBA is a significant step in the right direction of addressing these underlying issues. Sierra Leone welcomes the continued participation of Nigerian financial institutions in the domestic financial sector.”
