UBA Sierra Leone’s Charlotte Street Branch Celebrated after Landing the Ambitious Target of Three Hundred Billion Leones in First Quarter
In fulfillment of the 2022 financial target set for various branches by MD/CEO Usman Isiaka, the Branch Manager, Charlotte Street Branch, Anita Thomas together with her team has awed the bank by hitting the ambitious and laudable target of “Three Hundred Billion Leones” in customer deposit in just the first quarter of 2022. The hardworking team of lions and lionesses pulled through this biggest deposit in UBA Sierra Leone’s history within that period by being sharp and business hungry, consistent with the go-getting spirit as members of the den.
In order to acknowledge this great and leading stride which ought not to go unnoticed, the management of the bank could not keep calm but summon a brief appreciation session at the 5401 banking hall at Charlotte Street on Monday the 21st of March.
The moment of appreciation which fulfilled MD Usman’s promise to recognise and gift the branch that would hit the ambitious target of Three Hundred Billion Leones and over, converged marketing staff- deemed to have significantly contributed to the success- and other staff members.
In honour of the occasion, a certificate of recognition was given to the branch, a letter of recommendation was given to the Branch Manager Anita Thomas and a celebratory cake beautifully decorated in red with an inscription of the 300 Billion Leones deposit achievement was made available to climax the occasion.
“This is a great feat for which I am proud of the 5401 team especially Anita for her astuteness and seasoned leadership in landing us this exceptional value” said MD Usman as he further encouraged the team to continue with their impressive performance.
Anita who is known by her team members as a go-getter and outstanding leader, has worked with UBA Sierra Leone as a Branch Manager for over two years now. Currently, she is one of the female Branch Managers of UBA Sierra Leone who are conducting themselves with calculated efficiency, drive, sense of purpose and unmatched bravery in line of duty. “I want to thank my team for their immense support towards this success. We are inspired to set the next target of Four Hundred Billion Leones in deposit in the next quarter” said Anita.
The Head of Retail Banking UBA SL, Victoria Olukuton acknowledged Anita’s passion and resilience and stated that they are what set her apart. “Her leadership style is surely worthy of emulation” she added.
UBA Sierra Leone believes that it is possible for its various branches to hit such an ambitious and even more target set including the Lumley branch which had earlier gone a little over Two Hundred Billion Leones in the 2021 financial year.
